About the Role
Peel Health Campus is seeking a proactive and customer-focused Ward Clerk to join our fast-paced Emergency Department that currently provides a 24-hour emergency service to over 45,000 patients per year. As the first point of contact for our patients and their families you will strive to deliver an exceptional customer service experience for all.
Joining our multidisciplinary team of professionals, this opportunity will see you liaising with Medical, Nursing and Allied Health staff with regard to the daily administration of the ward and Emergency Department. In addition, you will be responsible for managing incoming and outgoing calls and performing effective admission and discharge processes to ensure appropriate bed management.
About You
The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:
Prior experience in a similar role within a hospital setting
Ability to complete tasks within designated timeframes and prioritise workload
Strong keyboard and computer skills using the Microsoft Office suite of products
Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
Willingness to accept and promote Ramsay’s core values
Flexibility to work across a seven-day rotating roster that includes weekends and public holidays is essential to this role.
Remuneration
On offer is a base hourly rate ranging from $30.43 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (WA Level 2.1)
