We have an exciting new opportunity for an exceptional candidate to be responsible for the strategic business leadership for a growing Water Engineering team across Australia and to act as the Managing Consultant for the Asia Pacific Region. The position will be based in Perth where there is an imminent market need and will focus on the business development of existing and new clients in the Australian and the broader Asia Pacific region (APAC).

In this role, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintain, progress, and build relationships key client relationships that support the Water Service Line, and overall Advisian strategy
  • Accountable for transforming the strategy into a sustainable practice in APAC, including working with Global Service Line Leader, other managing consultants, other parts of the business, and a wide range of contractor & SMEs externally to setup, and drive business goals and objectives
  • Responsible for the utilisation (i.e. billability) of resources and overhead spending within the APAC
  • Provide leadership for APAC within the Service Line, with a secondary focus for all resources within the locational or geographic footprint
  • Identifying and hiring key technical talent to support to delivery of projects within the area of responsibility

To be successful in the role you will have:

  • Tertiary Qualifications from an accredited institution in Mechanical, Civil or Chemical Engineering
  • Technical and management expertise in the water sector with experience on major infrastructure projects
  • Proven track record in business management
  • Extensive experience working in a consultancy environment
  • Member of a professional organization (IEAust etc) and ability to be registered as a Professional Engineer within Australia
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational, technical writing and communication skills; presentation skills are an asset
  • Experience in technical mentoring and training of junior and intermediate staff; and a high level of business development and customer focus
