We offer a broad range of services, including residential care facilities, transition care programs, retirement living villages, home care, day care, respite, and dementia specific services.

The Enrichment Technology Advisor is responsible for providing technology training and support to residents, clients, therapy staff and community partners associated with the Amana Living Enrichment Program. This is a part time role for 38 hours per fortnight.

The main objective is to provide exposure, encouragement and support for the use of technology in living the second half of life. This is achieved through the use of Enrichment iPads, BeConnected Computers, Keep Connected Tablets, Tune into Life iPods and residents’ own devices.
Innovate, develop and support the technology arm of the Enrichment Program through current programs including GenConnect, Tune into Life, BeConnected, Keep Connected and through the development of future initiatives.
Provide support and assistance to Amana Living residents in the use of technology.
Provide training and assistance to therapy staff to support technology in Enrichment and incorporate its use in the activity program.
Develop and maintain community partnerships and connections that expand and support the Enrichment technology programs.
Work with the Allied Health Manager to identify appropriate technology-related grant opportunities and ensure that existing grant obligations are met.
Maintain appropriate documentation associated with the role.

Possess sound information technology skills related to smart phones, tablets, computers, associated accessories, wifi/mobile data connectivity and the internet
Demonstrate a friendly manner, enthusiasm and commitment to the task.
Possess good communication and listening skills.
Be reliable, punctual and trustworthy.
Demonstrate compassion, understanding, and patience.
Ability to build rapport and empathise with the older generation.

Must have a good working knowledge of the use of computers, tablets, smart phones, associated accessories and the internet.
Must be able to manage scheduling of activities according to the needs of the residents, clients and staff.
Must have his/her own transport and current valid driver’s licence.
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills to interact with groups of various ages and culturally diverse backgrounds.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Previous experience training on a one to one basis and in small groups would be desirable
