Job Description

Based in Perth and reporting to the Inspection Services Manager, this role is responsible for:

General field Surveys and Calculations
Preparation of field survey work including equipment, HSE plans and survey technical plans and survey methodologies.
Attend planning / mobilisation meetings with the Survey Manager / Client and ensure that the SOW and contract deliverables is fully understood
Prepare project execution plan and check project specification against survey plans before starting and after work completed
Carry out pre-operations check on survey and scanning equipment
Preparation and checking of laser scan databases and dimensional reports
Supervise and carry out / assist with Dimensional Control & Lasers Scanning surveys in accordance with procedures
Converting proprietary data and processing data, performing calculations, creating plans, documents and reports for field data
Preparing & checking of drawings, 3D models and reports - Data processing and production of deliverables
Keep sufficient field records such that others can follow up, digital version preferable
Planning and efficiently organising work in order to meet agreed deadlines
Plan movements and resources according to client requirements where possible
Keep Up-To-Date Professionally for oneself and proactively share new knowledge
Effective and clear communication with all other relevant stake holders
Quality control Junior Surveyor's / subcontractor output
General project & program administration and reporting
Manage activities to ensure the project remains on plan will achieve the agreed scope, time, cost, and quality objectives and the targeted benefits
Ensure adequate resources are assigned to projects in a timely manner. Acquire all required goods and subcontract services as needed
The Successful Applicant
Degree, Diploma or Certificate in Surveying
Minimum 3 - 5 years' experience Dimensional Control Surveyor
Obtain and hold pertinent permits on client's sites as required
WA driver's license
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with clients
Understanding and skilled application of all aspects of Laser Scanning & Dimensional Surveying
Proficiency with appropriate equipment and software
Proficient use of total stations and laser scanners, and processing obtained data
Proficient use of 3D CAD packages & O365 Suite
