About the opportunity

We are actively looking for a health professional in the position of Clinical Services Lead with a passion for preventative care, education and deployment of occupational health and medicine programs. The role is offered on a permanent basis at our Pinjarra Refinery with scope across all our WA Operations!

You will be responsible for effective management of the Occupational Health Nurses and the Administration Assistants in the medical group across WA Operations. You are seen as an educator; ensuring all individuals are trained to meet strategic objective of the wider Australian Occupational Health Team!

As the Clinical Services Lead you will work in collaboration with key personnel with a focus on improvement to attendance and performance of our workforce. Expected is regular and consistent messaging around fitness, workplace safety, prevention of occupational injuries and disease.

Additional core activities and contributions include:
Provision of services, prescribed treatments including physical assessments to and of employees at all levels, ordering tests and investigations ensuring adherence to Alcoa's Global Health protocol requirements,
Liaising with Physiotherapists, Injury Management Consultants, Site HR and Front-line leaders to develop effective return to work programs for our personnel,
Leverage medical centres across our WA locations for standardisation of policies and procedures, and consistently connect with the wider Health team to align with continuous improvement initiatives,
Coach, guide and support Occupational Health Nurses on adherence to Medical Evaluation Fitness to Work Process and the sign-off on pre-employment medicals, in conjunction with Occupational Health Physicians resolve requirements for specialist review or investigation,
Provide support to EH&S Managers where specific professional health advice is sought on such activities as health promotion and ergonomic improvements.

About you

To play a part in our ongoing success we are seeking someone with:

Current licence to practice from the Australian Health Practitioners Regulatory Agency, recognised as a Nurse Practitioner,
Tertiary qualifications in Nursing, Management or related field, Occupational medicine/health experience preferred,
Demonstrated leadership with ability to coordinate and empower members of diverse and dynamic teams, with a transparent approach to bring about change,
Organisational, decision-making and problem-solving skills, with passion to foster a culture of continuous improvement, and
Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills to relate to and influence others in a professional manner.
