The Opportunity:
A new and exciting opportunity exist for a Workshop Technician to join our Remanufacturing team based at our Welshpool Branch.

Reporting to the Leading Hand & Production Supervisor, the purpose of the role is to provide skillful and efficient assembly of Komatsu earth moving equipment and through your efforts, contribute to a professional team environment by ensuring high levels of safety, quality and efficiency. Shift work is involved and we offer paid overtime.

Key Responsibilities:
Ability to demonstrate an appropriate level of technical understanding of the design & function of Komatsu components and carry out all repairs to the highest quality.
Ability to demonstrate competencies of component inspections, repairs, testing and adjusting utilising relevant literature and testing equipment.
Ensure all repairs and tasks are performed within the set standard hours.
Ability to follow SWP’s and identify areas for improvement.

The knowledge, skills and abilities we’re looking for:
Relevant Trade Certificate (HD Diesel Fitter or Mechanical Fitter or Fitter/Machinist).
Minimum 2 years post apprenticeship experience, working to OEM guidelines and requirements.
Extensive trade experience with Komatsu earth moving equipment, in particular equipment assembly, performance testing and commissioning.
Current Driver’s Licence, High Risk LF-Forklift, Overhead Gantry Crane License, and First Aid.
Ability to work autonomously and with minimal supervision.
A proven high level of customer service in line with our Customer Support Charter.
A demonstrated commitment to safety with the ability to work in remote areas and unsupervised.
Sound written and verbal communication skills and good understanding of computer systems.
