Merri Health –Physiotherapist (Grade 2)

  • 0.8 EFT; Permanent Part Time position
  • Site: Various Merri Health Sites including Coburg and Fawkner

Your new role

You will be working as part of an established multidisciplinary team to provide direct and comprehensive high quality and evidence based physiotherapy services to clients who are aged under 65 (under 50 for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People). This role is funded by Home and Community Care, Program for Younger People (HACC PYP) and the Community Health Program.

As a Grade 2 Physiotherapist in the Prevention and Chronic Illness Care Team you will be responsible for:

  • High quality individualised physiotherapy assessment and management of clients with predominantly musculoskeletal conditions.
  • Dependant on scope of practice, assessing and treating clients presenting with women’s health, paediatric or chronic conditions
  • Participation in planning, designing and implementation and ongoing management of physiotherapy group programs that operate across different sites of Merri Health

What you’ll need to succeed

To be successful with Merri you will go above and beyond to achieve great results for our clients, the organisation and yourself. We’re looking for individuals with:

  • Current Physiotherapy registration with AHPRA
  • Minimum 2 years clinical experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy
  • Demonstrated ability in autonomous clinical assessment and treatment decision making
  • Experience with development, implementation and evaluation of group exercise programs
  • Desirable: Interest and experience in women’s health and/or paediatric Physiotherapy
