About The Role

The Infrastructure Application Delivery Engineer will work with the Global Planning & Delivery (GP&D) IT Delivery Manager, Team Leaders, Architects, Project Managers, Business members and stakeholders to install and deliver new technologies to the Services Organization in order to support ongoing business initiatives.

Responsibilities Include (but Not Limited To)

  • Build project technologies utilizing vendor, GP&D and business resources identified in the project plan. This will include all proof of concept (POC), user acceptance testing (UAT) and vendor testing engagements required before project can be completed and delivered to the Services Organization
  • Analyse, develop, update, execute and complete a project plan as part of the project life cycle
  • Complete the technology hand over documentation with all pertinent project details. This will be required for the Services Organization to support the technology once it has been delivered to them
  • Collaborate with other GP&D technical resources and vendors to plan the delivery of all non-related technologies required to completed assigned Application Delivery Engineer projects
  • Responsible for the documentation, training and transition of the projects to the Services Organization for ongoing support
  • Participate in strategic planning and decision making processes by providing technical assistance and knowledge as a subject matter expert in International and domestic Application Delivery Engineer platforms
  • Other duties or tasks as assigned by management
Required Experience
  • Proven experience as a member of a team of technical engineers with an understanding of most Application Delivery skills listed below: MS Windows Server/Desktop Operating Environment MS Based Applications (E.g. Skype for Business, IIS) Archiving Applications (Enterprise Vault) Active Directory and ADFS Web Content Filtering Windows Clustering Exchange and Messaging Applications Scripting knowledge such as PowerShell Infrastructure and Domain Admin experience in a large Enterprise environment
  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology or any other IT related field
  • MCITP (Microsoft Certified IT Professional)
Desired Experience
  • Demonstrated working experience with an understanding of most Application Delivery skills listed below: Server Virtualization VMWare VDI Enterprise Systems Monitoring Data Centre facilities, operations and capacity planning Networking principles Enterprise Storage
  • Keeps knowledge up-to-date, is a technical resource for others, follows technology practices and standards
  • VCP (VMware Certified Professional)
