Location

This residential role is based within Port Hedland, Western Australia on a family friendly 8:8 DIDO Roster. This oppurtunity provides a housing subsidy which also includes subsidiess water and electrcity.

About The Role

Ensure conformance with the BHP Billiton Charter, the BHP Billiton Group Level Documents, Code of Conduct and relevant statutory obligations.
Participate in all BHP Safety Programs, including the Field Leadership Program with a requirement to complete regular Take Time Talks (TTT) while on shift.
Completion of station maintenance tasks and Ore car Structural Body repairs to a high standard.
Conformance to operating discipline in all aspects of the “How we work in Rail” procedure.
Actively identify work area hazards and report any hazards, near misses or events immediately.
Self manage their own ‘fitness for work’ to avoid unplanned leave and enable safe completion of daily tasks.
100% Adherence to appropriate work area Preventative Maintenance Instructions (PMI’s) and Working Instructions (WIN), with feedback supplied to supervision if changes are required.
4 TTT’s complete and entered into the FLEX system a month
4 Hazards identified and entered into Fiori with meaningful rectification actions
Proactively managing 100% compliance to mandatory training in LMS profile
Demonstrates behaviour in line with team commitments to safety/culture and work collaboratively with all crews, fostering an inclusive/respectful environment.
No rework, including run around cars, partings or breakdowns from poor maintenance practices. All quality inspections are completed in full and on time.
About You
Ability to engage, communicate and collaborate with other work groups
Rollingstock Maintenance experience (desirable but not essential)
Cert III Engineering - Fabrication trade or equivalent
Mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and rectify component/structural damage repairs
Identifying opportunities for improvement and proactively solving items
Ability to prioritise and manage your time effectively
Mandatory C Class manual drivers license
