About the Role

The South Flank Project is an expansion of BHP's existing Mining Area C hub, located approximately 130 km by road north-west of the town of Newman. This project has potential to become one of the largest standalone iron ore processing centres in the world, within reach of several billion tonnes of high-grade ore.

This Processing Coordinator is a pivotal role that will support the Superintendent Processing Production with shutdown planning and execution. In this role, you will be responsible for the development and coordination of shutdown isolation plans for Fixed Plant. This will also include the design and development of the scope of work and schedule of personnel prior the shutdowns.

The core focus of this role is to develop a culture of continuous improvement through effective communication, take a proactive role in implementing initiatives that contribute from a processing production perspective. Key accountabilities in this role will also include ensuring the alignment between shutdown time lines and production plan.

About You

We are seeking Interest from dynamic individuals with strong, practical experience in processing and/or planning from mining or processing related industry.

You will be an individual who is passionate about continuous improvement of processes and plant performance and who would lead and motivate employees to ensure constant compliance with all safety policies and procedures. Have strong communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills. Have a proven track record of safety management. It would be desirable if you had an understanding of Operating Excellence principals and of Microsoft Project. You are an excellent team player who can work collaboratively across diverse teams as well as in a standalone capacity.

In order to be considered for this role you need to have minimum of 2-5 years of experience in executing and supervising activities as well as have detailed knowledge of activities related to operating and fixed plant maintenance equipment. You need to have Processing/Engineering qualification within an equivalent industry and/or organisational experience. In addition to this you need to have understanding of large scale minerals processing.

This role will be offered on a foundation of 5 days on 2 days off four days on 3 days off, 9 days on and 5 days off, and is FIFO from Perth.

Minimum of a C class manual driver’s licence is required.
