Working within the Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN) Haematology Unit, you will provide diagnostic and clinical services under Consultant supervision for inpatients, in outpatient clinics, and covering Haematology Day Centre. Where suitable you will be eligible to enrol training programs of the RACP (and the RCPA if appropriate). You may contribute to the supervision of junior medical officers/nurse specialists in the provision of clinical care. You will also provide teaching to junior medical officers and medical students where the opportunity arises.

Ensuring medical records are correctly completed, you will maintain close liaison with other medical, nursing and para-medical staff in the coordination of total patient care. You will hold a Bachelor or Medicine: Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, and be registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with General Registration. With at least two years of experience in clinical medicine, you will demonstrate strong communication skills and empathy with patients and their families. You must be willing to participate in continuing medical education and training.
