Full Job Description
The Position

As the Company Buyer, you will possess strong negotiation skills and have demonstrated experience in contract management. The Company Buyer’s objective is to cost effectively provide goods and services at optimal rates using creative negotiations methodology.

You are responsible for the coordination and execution of a broad spectrum of organisational purchases, including the most difficult and unique purchasing transactions. You would be accountable for the planning, selecting and buying of an array of products and services unique to the organisation.

Duties may include market research, competitor analysis, product evaluations and testing, monitoring the purchase process and creating reports for management.

Strong emphasis will be placed on the applicant’s ability to demonstrate the organisations values of Courage, Diligence, Compassion, Wisdom and Friendliness, as well as their ability to commit to and apply these values in the workplace.

Key Selection Criteria

Qualifications and/or demonstrated industry experience relevant to the position
Demonstrated ability to prepare and analyse complex technical specifications, bids and procurement proposals
Demonstrated contract management skills with the ability to understand, analyse and prepare legal contracts ranging from simple to complex purchasing/procurement agreements
Adept negotiator with the demonstrated experience in securing mutually beneficial contacts
An influencer who is highly personable, confident and with an outstanding ability to develop interpersonal relationships across the business
Highly developed analytical skills, creativeness and the ability to recognise future trends
