Full Job Description

Based in Cairns, this position will see you supporting young people in care, who have been through trauma, helping them to develop positive routines and structures to enable them to live their life to the fullest, with your help, support, and care.

This position is a permanent, however, you would need to be able to commit to sleepover shifts and a minimum of 50 hours a fortnight. Please be aware that shifts work on a 2-week rotating roster.

Your new workplace is a community Not-For-Profit that is looking for a vibrant new member to join their Cairns team. They provide health and community services to thousands of people every day through its services in Health, Community Services, Aged Care, Disability, and Family Services.

MUST have a Certificate IV and OR Diploma in Youth Work or Bachelor in a related field
Ability to work with young people and other staff
Resilience to work in crisis situations and with challenging behaviours
Willingness to work in a team environment in which 24-hour support is given, and be willing to work sleepover shifts
Current Driver's License
Current Blue Card & LCS2 clearance (or willing to complete)
Hope & Healing Framework training (completed, or willing to complete)
