About the Role …

The Bus & Truck Manager is responsible for the business performance of the Perth Bus & Truck operation including overseeing the truck and bus work completed by Technicians to ensure safe work practices are adopted, best practice workmanship and quality of service is delivered. This role will support the Perth Operations Manager in maximising profitability in the region by assisting in the leadership of the Truck and Bus team and customer base.

This role will focus on applying technical knowledge and practical skills in the repair and replacement of Automotive Glass in truck and bus specific vehicles, observing the principles of customer focus and operational excellence in all tasks undertaken.

In this role, you will be required to undertake the following duties: 

  • Provide leadership, sharing skills and expertise with Bus & Truck Technicians
  • Promote and grow customer base by providing outstanding service
  • Keep the team updated on business & Team performance (including key KPI’s)
  • Support an environment that encourages “thinking outside the square” to create new solutions to existing problems.
  • Participate in meetings and functions / activities that contribute to business efficiencies and effectiveness as directed by the Perth Operations Manager.
  • Support management in maximising efficient utilisation of resources
  • Engage in a culture of safety in the workshop whereby all practices ensure that the safety of O’Brien® staff and customers is not compromised.
  • Be a valuable member of our team, contributing to our success and actively helping to create a positive environment

About you …

You will have already worked in an Automotive or retail role, can quickly build rapport and strive to deliver exceptional customer service at all times.

To be successful in this role you would need to possess the following:

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Management experience within the Automotive industry is highly desirable
  • High School certificate
