The Opportunity
We are currently looking for a Sales Rep - Bakery Specialist to look after our SEQ (South Coast, Brisbane and Gold Coast) Foodservice customers. This is a field sales role, based out of our distribution depot in Darra. Reporting to the State Sales Manager, you will be an integral member of the Foodservice team and will make a strong contribution to a high performing Foodservice group and team culture.
Territory covers the greater SEQ geography, with occasional travel to interstate. The ideal candidate will have strong account management skills but also have a technical baking background with knowledge of the Australian baking industry and can use this to leverage opportunities and drive growth in the bakery category for Goodman Fielder.

Strategic Deliverables:
  • Develop and lead pipeline of business opportunities across the Foodservice channel utilising existing products, leveraging NPD opportunities and developing some customer bespoke products
  • Create sustainable business relationships with Distributors and End User groups
  • Consistently review the in-year plan and financial metrics, and prioritise the requirements based on risks and opportunities to meet calendar year financial budget
  • Align cross functionally with the State Account Managers to deliver optimum strategy for the customer
  • Leverage trend and market insights to lead Category thinking with the customer
  • Create and execute customer seasonal sales drivers to deliver incremental gross profit and volume
About You

  • +5 years' experience as an Account Manager, in the Foodservice Channel
  • Trade or Apprentice Qualified as a Baker or Pastry Cook
  • Hold a valid QLD driver's license (Tool of Trade vehicle provided)
  • Strong cross functional internal and external stakeholder management
  • Ability to lead, influence and negotiate effectively
  • Strong commercial acumen, planning capability and analytical skills
  • High level of tenacity and resilience, with a results orientated mentality
  • Passionate about food with drive to progress within the industry
  • Sound Knowledge of the Australian bakery market
