The Motor Accidents Insurance Board (MAIB) is a Tasmanian Government Business Enterprise which operates Tasmania's personal injury motor accident insurance scheme. The scheme provides no fault/statutory benefits, lifetime support and management of common law claims.
This is a Fixed Term (18 month contract) full-time position.
To be successful in this role you will be a team player, demonstrate an ability to be flexible and adaptable, be respectful and caring in nature. We are looking for a person who is comfortable in a complex and process driven work environment, and keen to make a difference in an organisation that is focussed on exceptional client outcomes.
The Administration Officer will be responsible for:
Provision of general administrative support to Claims Officers, which may include data entry, scanning and registration, payment processing, new claims, provider management and word processing;
Paying client/provider accounts in accordance with payment procedures and liaising when required with service providers;
Responding to telephone enquiries and routine correspondence from clients and service providers in accordance with claims management procedures;
Reception duties, as required; and
Provision of general office support services.
The person we are looking for will possess:
Well-developed written and verbal communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills;
The ability to work autonomously, set priorities and manage a variable workload;
Proven capacity to apply analytical, decision-making and negotiation skills and apply appropriate judgement, initiative and discretion; and
Demonstrated capacity to actively participate within workplace teams and contribute to change management.
