JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client is a respected investment manager with over $1 billion in funds under management and are known for their unwavering commitment to ethics-driven investment performance.

Reporting to the Chief Investment Officer and the Fixed Income Portfolio Manager you will be working in a dynamic team and will be responsible for assisting with the management and administration of the fixed income and cash portfolios.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Support the Fixed Income Portfolio Manager to manage fixed income and cash management portfolios.
  • To provide credit and traditional fixed income analysis across fixed income asset classes and underlying securities
  • Assume responsibility for managing the cash book to cover daily applications and redemptions along with investment and placement of funds across traditional cash securities
  • Monitor and report on daily cash positions across all portfolios
  • Support the business development team in marketing the broader suite of investment offerings to cover portfolio metrics
  • Analysis of new securities and issuer opportunities
  • Play an active role in managing and ensuring full compliance of cash and fixed income portfolios to within their portfolio guidelines
  • Provide support and back up for ongoing management of fixed income and loans portfolios
  • Proactively develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders such as brokers, data vendors (Factset), research houses and asset consultants to further sector knowledge

The ideal candidate will have:


  • Degree qualified (preferably in Finance, Business, Economics or related field);
  • Postgraduate degree or other relevant professional qualifications, ideally CFA;
  • 3 plus years’ relevant fixed income research and portfolio management experience, preferably from a fund’s management, asset consulting or research background
  • Strong data and analytical skills to support system integration and development of portfolio analytics and related models
