About the Department

The Department for Child Protection (DCP) plays a key role in the protection of children, young people and their families within South Australia. The department provides support to vulnerable children and young people to be safe, strong and connected.

About the Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Communication and Engagement team as a Manager on a long term contract.

Within this role you will be responsible for the leadership of the Communications and Engagement team and function.

Additionally, you will work closely with DCP Executives, Office for the Minister for Child Protection and other government strategic communications staff to provide strategic leadership for the delivery of specialist marketing, engagement, promotions and communications within and external to the department.

About you

We are looking for a confident individual who has the ability to build collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders, conduct high level and sensitive liaison and negotiation, and deliver expert advice, briefings and reports.

To be successful in the role you will also have experience in identifying, developing and implementing effective social marketing, promotions, communications branding in a complex environment.

Desirable Qualifications: Degree qualification in marketing, public relations, journalism, communications or relevant field.
