Located on the edge of Adelaide's CBD adjacent to the beautiful South Eastern Park Lands, St Andrew's is the largest independent private Hospital in Australia, with 50,000 procedures being performed each year. Our patients are admitted electively or via our Emergency Service, and we cater for most surgical specialties including, but not limited to, cardiothoracic, neurosurgery, interventional cardiology, urology, vascular, colorectal, orthopaedics, daVinci (Robotic) systems, breast and gynaecology,. Building on our successful base, in 2018 we completed a $50 million upgrade and expansion of our clinical facilities with more improvements planned for 2021 and beyond.

Our 4th Floor is a busy 50 bed surgical ward. Specialties include Neurosurgery, Ear-Nose and Throat, Spinal, Orthopaedics and Vascular.

About You:

We are seeking applications from Registered Nurses with 3 years' experience in and acute setting on surgical wards for night duty. You will have responsibility for the nursing plan of care, making patient care decisions and helping to solve nursing and nursing service problems.

In addition you will need to demonstrate:

  • a commitment to delivering best practice patient care
  • well-developed organisation and prioritisation skills
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • commitment to your continued professional development
  • an interest in mentoring and educating our up-and-coming nursing students and graduates
  • the ability to maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders
  • significant experience in a similar fast-paced environment
  • current registration with AHPRA and the ability to legally live and work in Australia.

Experience in orthopaedics nursing will be highly regarded.

Hours:

There are multiple positions avaialble; we can consider part-time (37.5 - 45 hours per fortnight) or casual arrangements working night shifts rostered flexibly across a 14 day roster. Work hours will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
