The Role
Glencore Metals Queensland is currently seeking suitably experienced applicants for a Lead Training Advisor within our Processing Team. Reporting to the Processing & Smelting Superintendent, you will play a vital role with a high focus on leading your team in implementing training initiatives across our Glencore Metals Queensland operations. This is a residentially based in Mount Isa and have roster options that promotes a health work life balance.

Your key responsibilities include:
  • Leading a small team consisting of Training Advisors, a Trainer Assessor and Administration Officer
  • Promote collaboration within your team, our customers and the wider training department
  • Manage training projects and undertake business improvement initiatives
  • Consult with stakeholders to provide advice on training management system requirements
  • Produce accurate training reports and conduct data analysis and forecasting
  • Review and update training and assessment documentation
The successful applicants will have:
  • A diploma in Training/Education and/or;
  • 5 years industry or processing experience in a similar role
  • Strong technical understanding of training and assessment systems including operational programs and pathways
  • Advanced Microsoft Office suite skills i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and proficiency in Ellipse training module (preferred)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise with various levels across the operations
  • Strong ability to prioritise, comprehend and manage multiple high level tasks
  • Robust analysis and problem solving skills
