Job Description:

Debt Capital Markets is responsible for origination, structuring and execution of transactions across the full J.P. Morgan debt product suite - including acquisition finance, investment grade loans, investment grade public bonds (USD, Euro, Sterling, RegS, AUD), US Private Placements, hybrids, leveraged loans, asset-backed loans, high yield bonds, ratings advisory, liability management, project finance and debt advisory.

As an Analyst within the team, you will be responsible for working alongside and supporting senior members of the team to advise, market to and execute transactions for Australian corporations and financial institutions. You will be exposed to all aspects of the team's workflow.

Key Accountabilities/Major Responsibilities:

  • Direct coverage of DCM corporate clients
  • Supporting a deal or project team with analytical and research support
  • Compiling briefing books / pitch book creation
  • Gathering company and industry information
  • Performing comparables analyses
  • Liaising with other internal / external parties on transactions (eg. lawyers, accountants, other banks)
  • Supporting due diligence & negotiations
  • Involvement in Q&A process / management interviews
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
  • Prior work experience in a front office, or related, role
  • Strong accounting, finance, quantitative and business writing skills
  • A well-rounded academic background from a top tier educational institution
  • An ability to learn quickly, manage multiple tasks simultaneously and communicate effectively to a range of stakeholders
  • Self-directed, highly motivated, and able to work independently
