Salary: $58,323 to $61,704 pro rata, per annum

The Tasmanian Health Service is seeking interest from applicants for multiple Theatre Support Officer vacancies to support the opening of additional operating theatres at the Royal Hobart Hospital.
Salary
$58,323 to $61,704 pro-rata per annum
Classification
Health Services Officer Level 5
Award
Health and Human Services (Tasmanian State Service) Award
Period of Employment
Multiple vacancies. Permanent, full time shift work (fully rotational), working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
Please note that part time vacancies are also available.
Please note, this process may be used to fill fixed term casual opportunities as they arise.

Duties
As part of Royal Hobart Hospital’s Perioperative team, provide an efficient and effective support service to the Operating Theatre Precinct.
Essential Requirements
The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:
1. Conviction checks in the following areas:
a) Crimes of Violence
b) Sex Related Offences
c) Serious Drug Offences
d) Crimes involving dishonesty
e) Serious traffic offences
2. Identification check
3. Disciplinary action in previous employment check
Desirable Requirements
Holds or is working towards a Certificate III or IV in Operating Theatre Technical Support through a nationally accredited training provider.
Applicants should note that, for a period of six months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.
