About the Opportunity

  • Are you an experienced Quality, Risk and Compliance Coordinator Manager with an NDIS background?
  • Are you able to work within a person-centered support framework, lead and inspire your team to ensure that practice reflects both the customer goals and outcomes, and our mission and values?
  • Do you have the ability to work in a highly complex and challenging environment to deliver positive outcomes for adults and children with disabilities and their families/carers?

Key Focus on your role:

  • Recognizes opportunities for improvement and changes to the process for a smoother service delivery and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain the Organisation risk management framework including all occupational health and safety compliance, documents, and registers.
  • Review practices, conduct investigations, Identify potential risks.
  • Maintain solid regulatory knowledge.
  • Ongoing review and update organizational internal policies and procedures.
  • Review incident reports and follow up.
  • Ensure restrictive practices are implemented as per NDIA legislation.
  • consult with management on findings and play a lead role in updating training practices or manuals for employees.
  • Maintain quality improvement framework ensuring that the framework reflects the requirements of Service Agreements and Accreditation requirements
  • Coordinate Quality Management Reports
  • Coordinate all statutory internal and external audits.

Selection Criteria

  • Degree in health, disability, social work
  • Current Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance certificate
  • First aid / CPR
  • Hold a valid and current Australian Driver's Licence and comprehensive insurance.
  • Strong understanding of the NDIS and the NDIA quality and safeguards framework.
  • Experience in leading a team to deliver positive outcomes for participants and employees.
  • A commitment to a Person-Centred Active Support Model which focuses on participant’s choice, strengths and active participation in their life.
  • Ability to demonstrate a solid understanding participant needs and vulnerabilities, funding, legislative, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience developing and implementing plans and actions to achieve quality, client, people, operational, financial and risk targets.
  • Experience developing policy, procedures and/or guidance materials would be a huge advantage.
