JOB DESCRIPTION

Busy bistro in Marrickville is seeking to hire 3 staff, full-time, casual and part-time.

Full time chef CDP position 55k - 65k depending on skill level 45hrs per week on a rotating roster.

Part time chef/cook must have experience in bistro minimum 2 years (must have grill experience) 35hrs per week (4 days) fixed shifts, can be flexible.

Casual chef/cook 25 hours per week (3 days) must be available to work 1 weekend, shifts are not negotiable.

Candidates must have a minimum 2 years experience in a bistro, must be fast learner, can work unsupervised, can delegate tasks, be a team player, manage the kitchen on busy nights, can create specials, train new staff and do ordering.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $55,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • Rotating roster

Experience:

  • Chef: 2 years (Preferred)

Work Eligibility:

  • Permitted to work permanently with no restriction on hours (e.g. citizen, permanent resident) (Preferred)

Commercial Cookery Qualification:

  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (Preferred)

Job Duties:

  • Prepare, season and cook food as directed, meeting dietary requirements where required
  • Follow recipes and presentation specifications
  • Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Oversee and manage kitchen operations
  • Clean and organise kitchen and equipment in adherence to hygiene and safety regulations
  • Preserve and store foodstuffs in appropriate temperature-controlled facilities
