Summary of Role
The Principal Consultant reports to an Education Director and provides them with strategic support in the monitoring of effective continuous implementation of improvement plans, agreed strategies, evaluation recommendations and reporting across preschools, schools and partnerships to directly influence the quality of education outcomes. The Principal Consultant establishes strong relationships to identify and strategically address the educational and intervention support needs of preschools, schools and partnerships, including playing a key role in the achievement of strategic directions, the building of leader and teacher capacity, effective learner review and intervention processes, policy formulation, decision making and the management of change. They oversee and strategically support processes that enable Education Directors to undertake professional performance and development of Site Leaders and facilitate the collective operation of Partnerships to focus on the continual improvement of student learning and well-being outcomes.

Qualifications
Essential - An appropriate tertiary qualification in education or related field.

Special Conditions
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department of Human Resources (DHS) working with children check prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five (5) years before expiry.

The successful applicant will need to show proof of having undertaken, or proof of being registered to undertake the Responding to Abuse and Neglect - Education full day training course.
