Job Description

We currently have an opportunity for a Logistics Quality Coordinator to join the Logistics Deviation Management team, based in our Brisbane Office. This role is responsible for the coordination to enable maximised value through the Outbound Supply Chain of our coal from BMA/BMC Mines to Hay Point, Dalrymple Bay and North Queensland Export Terminals through effective quality management in accordance with BMA Quality Standards and ensure efficient transport and delivery of product.

Offered on a 5/2 roster and reporting to the Superintendent Logistics Coordination, you will be responsible for the following:

Your responsibilities

  • Manage the short-term (Week 0) quality analysis and planning plan to optimise movement of product through the export terminals, ensuring customer requirements are met and vessel turn times minimised;
  • Engagement with internal and external stakeholders in the delivery of the short-term (Week 0) requirements;
  • Accountable for communication of quality performance, variation, current and emerging risk to all relevant stakeholders as well as accurate reporting and data analysis;
  • Utilise technical expertise in order to maximise value and volume through the supply chain;
  • Monitor quality of port stockpile inventories, actively looking for opportunities to improve performance stability and throughput, optimising the utilisation of port facilities;
  • Negotiate load plans to minimise delays and variation to the shipping plan;
  • Liaise with mine, shipping, rail and port coordinators to ensure shipment plans are aligned with contracted requirements and vessels are loaded within budgeted turn times;
