Opportunity
A vacancy exists for an experienced individual to manage a manufacturing plant warehouse, dispatching products throughout Australia/New Zealand.
Based at Wetherill Park, this full-time role requires the candidate to have a strong customer service focus, strong communication, and a good understanding of ERP and FMS systems and proficient with Microsoft Office. The candidate will be a problem-solver with proven leadership experience, with previous exposure to a manufacturing environment with a minimum of 5 years warehouse experience. The successful candidate will also have a current forklift licence.
Key duties and responsibilities include:
- Ensure that warehouse and distribution functions are an integral component of the business.
- Management of workflow through planning of staffing and equipment needs, as well as allocation of duties
- Coordinate booking and allocation of loads, as well as the suitability and allocation of vehicles from approved carriers. (CoR)
- Ensure all equipment in the warehouse is maintained at a safe and serviceable level.
- Ensure all staff are trained in the necessary local and national regularity requirements.
- Ensure all warehouse personal comply with all local legislative and regulative requirements
- Ensure periodic stock takes are undertaken in accordance with procedure.
- Ensure Valvoline security guidelines are implemented, and appropriate controls are maintained.
- Report to Plant Manager any issues that impede efficiency and workflow improvements.
The successful applicant should also possess maturity, an eye for detail, accuracy, the ability to prioritise and work with minimum supervision.
Overall, we are looking for a person who has the ability to work well in a team and can switch quickly and efficiently between a variety of tasks throughout the day.
