Liberty Primary Steel, a member of GFG Alliance, operates integrated steelworks which include ironmaking, steel making, and rolling-mill facilities located in coastal Whyalla, approximately 400km from Adelaide.

About the role

Based in Whyalla and reporting into the Supply Chain Planning manager, our Secondary Operations Production Scheduler will be responsible for supporting the supply chain planning team to ensure success of plant activities and processes.

In this role you will;

Manage the daily production scheduling process for the LPS steel products rail plant and trak-lok facility
Perform variance analysis between budget and forecast supply plans with actual results and highlight deviations in key value drivers such as rate, yield and availability.
Assist in meeting inventory targets and evaluate and suggest alternatives to achieve targeted inventory levels.
Support a culture of partnership with production plants to optimise business outcomes and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
About your experience
Previous experience in a production planning role within a manufacturing environment will be highly regarded.
Excellent verbal/written communication skills and effective interpersonal skills.
Ability to uphold and drive high safety standards as a core value
Must possess the ability to work in a dynamic environment, to prioritise competing demands and to focus on delivery of outcomes.
Demonstrated reasoning, logical thinking and learning capabilities with intermediate computer literacy skills.
