Based in Whalan, Kimberwalli supports young Aboriginal young people in Western Sydney to transition from school to further education, training and/or employment. About the role

The Assistant Project Officer (Programs) undertakes a range of planning, coordination and scheduling of Kimberwalli programs. It supports the Partnership Officer in managing program communication’s, scheduling and keeps updated records. This role also supports project research, analysis, reporting, implementation and administrative activities to support the development and delivery of projects, in line with established project plans and objectives

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with, and understand issues impacting on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
