The Infrastructure and Place division is in the process of delivering a once-in-a generation multi-billion program of public infrastructure works which will ease congestion, improve safety, create new places and connect communities for generations to come. The opportunity

Due to the unprecedented scale of investment in the Transport for NSW Future Transport strategy we have a two exciting Fix Term opportunities for experienced Surveillance Officers (Level Two) Infrastructure and Place’s Development Branch. These positions will support new M6 Stage 1 motorway project.

The Development Branch within the Infrastructure and Place division is responsible for the development of transport and place solutions that facilitate broader economic, social and environmental outcomes.

The M6 project will provide a motorway link between the New M5 and the existing M1 Princes Motorway, which will connect St George, Sutherland Shire and Illawarra regions to the Sydney motorway network.

These roles are responsible for managing routine and specialist/complex surveillance activities to ensure delivery in accordance with client time, quality and scope requirements to meet community and government needs.

Please note the location of these roles is North Sydney NSW before relocating to site at Brighton Le Sands with flexible working arrangements in our new activity based offices

About you

To be successful in this role, you have experience in public space, road and bridge construction works, site surveillance administration of public space and road works in a government/client organisation.

Your experience will include:

  • Planning and implementing surveillance and in monitoring and assessing compliance against standards, policy and practices.
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with contractors and project team staff to foster win-win outcomes on a construction site.
  • Monitor, support and influence development partner progress against agreed milestones and deliverables to support the Agency’s program of work.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with the implementation of quality assurance systems, WHS and environmental management systems in construction industry projects.

In addition, you have excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and be able to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is Grade USS 8 ($102,098 - $109,561) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
