Temporary part time level 1/2 Occupational Therapist (18 hours/week) to join the team at Ryde Hospital

Where you'll be working
Ryde Hospital Occupational Therapy department provides care in both and acute and sub-acute setting. This position has the opportunity to be part of our department rotation program, and experience both settings. Our acute services cover orthopaedics and joint replacement, general medical, general surgical, stroke and critical cardiac care.
What you'll be doing
Ryde Hospital Occupational Therapy department provides care in both and acute and sub-acute setting. This position has the opportunity to be part of our department rotation program, and experience both settings. Our acute services cover orthopaedics and joint replacement, general medical, general surgical, stroke and critical cardiac care.
This position will be responsible for providing OT assessment and intervention across a variety of clinical caseloads, as well as managing discharge planning as part of a multi disciplinary team.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

- Must hold registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
- Proven ability to exercise professional judgement commensurate with years of experience and to establish effectively collaboratively working relationships within a multi-disciplinary team and inter-agency networks.
- Demonstrated well developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated computer literacy and ability to use health information systems
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage workload demands, meet deadlines and complete activities (including ability to work within scope of practice and seek assistance when required).
- Demonstrate skills and knowledge in the provision of Occupational Therapy service to consumers, carers and families requiring assessment, environmental modifications, home modifications, appropriate referral and discharge planning.
- Commitment to participation in professional development, quality improvement activities and workplace education.
