Position Summary:

The Business Development Representative will be responsible for prospecting target organisations in an effort to understand their business drivers, educate prospects on the value that InEight can deliver to their organisation, and qualify and create sales opportunities to be managed by our regional sales teams across Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and SE Asia.

  • Prospect, educate and qualify leads to create sales-ready opportunities
  • Reach and exceed performance metrics based on call volume and qualified leads
  • Perfect an open question and active listening or solution-selling approach to uncover needs and educate based on value
  • Leverage LinkedIn Navigator and industry database subscriptions to research and identify viable prospects
  • Active social selling and network development across targeted social networks
  • High volume of cold calling
  • Field inbound calls and follow up on inbound leads
  • Support marketing campaigns through outbound activity
  • Actively update records in CRM (SalesForce.com)
  • Coordinate individual strategies for target accounts with Account Executives
  • Successfully manage and overcome prospect objections
  • Proactively learn industry and technology terminologies to ensure you are perceived as a domain expert to prospects and customers
  • Manage pipeline and follow-up while tracking in SalesForce.com


  • Minimum of 4-5 years of sales, call center or lead generation experience in a B2B environment
  • Technology sales experience is preferred
  • Demonstrated results leveraging a solutions-selling process to Enterprise clients (accounts with over $200 million in annual revenue)
  • Demonstrated experience at new account development
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Self-driven, motivated and results oriented
  • Proven prospecting and sales cycle management skills
  • SalesForce.com or CRM equivalent experience
  • Experience using LinkedIn as a lead generator and using LinkedIn Navigator is a plus
  • Familiarity with construction industry preferred
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
