Job Summary

The Process Automation Specialist is responsible for supporting the delivery of high impact transformation initiatives that utilises automation though RPA (Robotic Process Automation). The incumbent will assist the Supply Chain and Business Planning and various business units with identifying inefficiencies in business processes and provide solution by automating the processes.

This also includes consolidating data from multiple sources as well as assisting with other duties and projects as directed.


Reports to the Group Manager Business Planning & Administration BSANZ.

Required to work closely with all members of the Supply Chain and Business Planning team and various business units. Relationships must be established and maintained with management and personnel across all levels, as well as external service providers.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the RPA process

  • Responsible for developing end-to-end RPA solutions (document, design, build, test, deploy and maintain).
  • Engage in discovery and identification of automation processes, proactively seek and suggesting improvements, outline any risks and recommend optimal solutions.
  • Work closely with IT Business Analyst/Programmer and SMEs (business) to validate technical integration and development conforms to requirements.
  • Maintain a register on all requests and update status on a regular basis.

Manage the documentation process
  • Gather requirements from business stakeholders and translate the process flow into formal documentation and workflow.
  • Conduct RPA feasibility assessments to develop effort estimates.
  • Seek endorsement from process owners before the requests are actioned.
  • Ensure process documentation is updated and current.

Provide support on tool performance
  • Monitor the performance of bots to ensure no issues in operations.
  • Investigate issues and apply fixes to ensure continuous automation processes.
  • Provide training to users on how to run new processes.

Provide support on reporting tools
  • Work closely with business users to identify opportunities on report automation from various data sources.
  • Assist business users to design, build and schedule dashboards and reports.

  • Periodically review the work area with local area supervisors to assess the HSE aspects of the work environment and work procedures.
  • Overview the risk assessment processes for all hazardous tasks, procedures and activities undertaken by staff and/or contractors.
  • Overview the effective functioning of the HSE committee(s) in the work area and consult with health and safety representative(s) on HSE issues within the work area.
  • Comply with HSE instructions, policies and procedures.
  • Report all incidents, near misses and hazards.
  • Use and maintain safety devices and personnel protective equipment correctly.
  • Be familiar with emergency and evacuation procedures and complying with the instructions given by emergency response personnel such as emergency wardens and first aiders.

  • Degree qualification in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience in statistical analysis.
  • Sound planning, organisational, analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • The ability to communicate with personnel at all levels along with a genuine ability and desire to provide exceptional customer service.
  • A demonstrated ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy and adhere to deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of products, SAP, Business Objects, Tableau, UiPath, Automation Anywhere or Blue Prism. Technical skills in these areas are an added advantage.
  • Prior experience in process automation development and implementation.
