The opportunity

Victorian buildings regulations require all new houses to achieve a 6-star rating. Sustainability Victoria's (SV's) First Rate 5 team leads the development and delivery of Victoria's leading residential thermal performance assessment software, that enables building designers to rate the energy efficiency compliance of residential dwellings to the 6-star standard under the National Construction Code of Australia (NCC).

Reporting to the Director Strategic Foresight & Research the Manager FirstRate 5 (FR5) will lead all aspects of the FirstRate5 (FR5) project. Leading a highly skilled development and support team, the role spans representing SV and FR5 interests at State and National forums, project management and delivery, policy development, working with a range of contractors, engaging with stakeholders to ensure the product meets industry requirements, and ensuring the product is robust, trusted, and easy to use for both current and potential users.

About you

The role requires a broad understanding of thermal assessment, software development, website projects, managing IT contractors, accreditation management, as well as stakeholder relationships, customer service, recognising and leveraging commercial opportunity, and team leadership.
