About the role:
As the Handyperson in the Maintenance department you will be responsible for providing assistance to the trade staff in carrying out maintenance work to ensure an efficient and safe workplace. You will also assist trade staff in the repair and service of equipment and carry out planned and preventative maintenance on equipment, plant, machinery and facilities to ensure adequate and safe equipment is available and perform the relevant duties that may be required by the Maintenance Manager or Deputy Maintenance Manager such as using the fork lift and pick up and delivery of goods and materials locally if required.
This role will see you working within the dedicated Maintenance Team working alongside skilled tradesmen covering the Inverell Hospital & Inverell Community Health Facility and also external sites at Tingha, Ashford, Warialda & Bingara.
About you:
You are a highly motivated individual with previous experience in grounds keeping/maintenance and handyperson skills. You have fantastic communication and organisational skills, as well as the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
