NSW Health Pathology are currently seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist to act as team leader for the growing pre-analytical area of the Genetics laboratory at Randwick. We are seeking someone to work with the pre-analytical team to improve the workflow of specimen triage, DNA extraction and sample logistics.

The Genetics Laboratory at Randwick is part of NSW Health Pathology and is one of the major Australian centres for genetic diagnostics, providing a comprehensive genome diagnostic service in a consultative pathology context.

What you'll be doing

Responsible for delivering a range of operational laboratory activities including the coordination and provisions of scientific and technical training and the ongoing review, development and quality management of laboratory practices to ensure compliance with operational standards and procedures, quality standards and continual process improvement.
