One of our premium clients based in Sydney - Macquarie Park are looking for a ServiceNow Developer. The contract is for 6 months with possible extension

The role includes hands-on ServiceNow development working closely with solution designers, application architects, project managers, various technical teams and the business stakeholders to translate business requirements into working, high-quality development packages.

The role requires a strong working knowledge of ServiceNow components such as Change, Incident, Problem Management, Knowledge, and Request as well as excellent knowledge of ServiceNow Best Practices and ongoing knowledge of latest ServiceNow features

The Senior ServiceNow Developer / Software Engineer will be responsible for configuring and developing ServiceNow modules. This role will work closely with IT and Business teams to develop and enhance ServiceNow capabilities. The role will be responsible for heavy UI, Workflow and Application development activities; facilitating rollouts of custom applications built on, and enhancements to, our client's ServiceNow instances

Key accountabilities

• Obtain and analyse business requirements and document technical solutions
• Design and delivery of technical solutions based on the ServiceNow platform
• Own and control in-scope development package scope and version
• Development, both change and defect fixes, on OE DT's ServiceNow instances
• Implement ServiceNow customizations including, but not limited to: Client Scripts, UI policies, UI Actions, Script Includes, Business Rules, workflow administration, report setup, and data imports.
• Work individually and in virtual teams.
• Provide Technical leadership to a team of developers that vary in skills and capabilities
• Research new functionality and recommend solutions that deliver customer value
• Leadership skills in technical initiatives
• Generating and maintaining detailed documentation

Essential requirements

• ServiceNow Development experience at a senior level
• 3+ years' experience developing on the ServiceNow platform in multiple medium to large enterprise environments
• 5+ years' experience with application development experience (SDLC, Agile Scrum, etc.)
• 5+ years of experience with technologies such as JavaScript, XML, HTML, AJAX, CSS, HTTP
• Good track record of delivering successful software developments
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer

Technical requirements

• Good working knowledge of the technical implementation of various ServiceNow modules such as Change Management, Incident Management, Problem Management, Service Catalogue, configuration Management, Reporting, LDAP, SSO, MID Server, Inbound/Outbound emails, and Discovery.
• Experience with Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Actions, Scheduled Jobs, using UI Pages, UI Macro & CMS using CSS, HTML, Jelly - all
• Solid understanding of web services (REST / SOAP / WSDL / XML), and HTTP Request Methods

Deep understanding of ICT technologies, OSI stack. * Understanding of Data Architecture, data models, rules, polices and mapping.

• Fundamental knowledge of networking including TCP/IP ports and firewalls, network
• protocols, and IP networks
