Meccano Consulting is a dynamic and innovative Corporate Consulting Company that runs a number of listed public companies in the Mining and Oil and Gas environment. 

We are seeking a Bookkeeper to add to our growing team. If you are passionate about numbers, can demonstrate a willingness to learn, have outstanding bookkeeping skills, you might be the missing puzzle piece we are looking for.

The role is well suited to a flexible full-time position being in the office from 9am-3.30pm (required to stay till 5pm at times). Work times are flexible and parking is included.

Position Summary

Your new position as Bookkeeper will see you assist our clients with essential services.

Your role will include, but is not limited to, the following duties and responsibilities:

• Recording transactions in bookkeeping software (eg Xero)
• Process payroll (3 employees), including emailing payslips and lodging STP report to ATO
• Reconcile and Pay Super Guarantee reporting
• Reconciling bank statements on a monthly basis
• Preparing weekly reports and monthly financial statements
• Produce balance sheet, profit and loss or other reports as required
• Prepare letters, correspondence, reports and other documents as required; and
• Includes office administration.

About You

To be successful for this role you will be expected to meet the following criteria:

• 5 years of bookkeeping experience
• Strong english and communication skills
• Strong sense of time management and organisational skills
• Proven ability to work as an integral member of a team
• The ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
• High degree of accuracy, responsibility and attention to detail
• Demonstrate a willingness to learn, particularly with regard to technology and software innovation
