JOB DESCRIPTION

The Senior Major Events Adviser delivers and project manages a range of strategically-aligned major awards and stakeholder events and many others across the Department. The Senior Major Events Adviser is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of events, including procuring services to support the event, drafting and coordinating communications and promotional requirements of events, preparing event briefings, coordinating stakeholder management and supports staff and suppliers to ensure that events are delivered successfully and within budget.

Part-time (0.6 FTE) fixed term role - for 13 months. 

The Senior Major Events Adviser delivers and project manages a range of strategically-aligned major awards and stakeholder events and many others across the Department. The Senior Major Events Adviser is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of events, including procuring services to support the event, drafting and coordinating communications and promotional requirements of events, preparing event briefings, coordinating stakeholder management and supports staff and suppliers to ensure that events are delivered successfully and within budget. This role partners with colleagues across the Communications Division to ensure major events are aligned with communication strategies. 

This role, which reports to the Major Events Manager, is part-time (0.6) and will be required to job share with another Senior Major Events Adviser (0.4 EFT).

Both part-time positions share and perform all role responsibilities, and provide weekly updates to each other, to ensure the seamless planning and delivery of major events.
