Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced person to effectively coordinate the provision of Facilities Management Services by the external Contracted Service Provider to the Casey Hospital.

About the Role

The Contracts Coordinator reports to the Director, Engineering & Infrastructure.

Summary of Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Ensure Contracted Service Provider is delivering their services to Casey Hospital in accordance with the contractual obligations.
  • Being the key liaison point between Monash Health and the FM Service Provider for Capital and Infrastructure.
  • Monitor the performance of Contracted Service Provider and escalate key issues as required to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and contribute to regular/ad-hoc reviews across a range of contract deliverables, to generate favourable outcomes (quality, safety, financial) for Monash Health - particularly in regards to assurance that works are fit-for-purpose, value for money and in line with contractual inclusions
  • Coordinate the Minor Works projects and site modifications implementation, including financial management.
  • Resolve contract issues relating to contracted services, ensuring contractual obligations of all parties are highly transparent and regularly monitored in an operating environment with conflicting priorities
  • Coordinate planned works in order to minimise interruptions to “business as usual - BAU” for the hospital, through the relevant work permit procedures. Including developing site communications/alerts.
  • Manage contractor performance in accordance with OHS regulations.

Selection criteria:
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Building Services or Project Management
  • Alternatively an appropriate trade qualification with comprehensive assets/ contract management experience, preferably in a heath engineering environment.
  • Relevant Business Management qualifications and experience.
