About The Role:

The Assistant Director, Legislation Services undertakes a high-level leadership/mentoring/coaching role in RevenueWA’s legislation services team. They manage the legislative program for the Acts administered by the Commissioner of State Revenue, as well as representing the Department in researching tax avoidance practices and assisting to develop appropriate legislative solutions.

The role contributes to the development and consideration of revenue policy matters, participates in RevenueWA’s strategic and business planning processes, and advises on the strategic direction and development of the State tax laws and grant and subsidies schemes.

About You:

The successful candidate will possess extensive leadership, conceptual, analytical and strategic problem-solving skills with the ability to initiate policy development and review in a tax administration context and manage legislative change processes.

You will also have high-level written and verbal communication skills, be able to build effective working relationships, and have the ability to influence effectively to lead the delivery of customer-centric services.
