JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Marketing Lead, you will own the online/offline marketing strategies for The Hacking School - Australia. You will create a plan that allows our entities to grow through high-impact events (Info Sessions, Free-Workshops), meaningful partnerships (with tech startups, corporate companies, private schools, etc), and building & growing a high-volume community that is interested in technology.
You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end event activities - from organizing the event, driving audience registrations to acting as a point of contact to the external guest speakers. You will be the face of the entity. The role will involve you to take up a part of Sales activities as well.
You will also be supported by our Global Campaigns Team, Student Admissions Team & Online Marketing & Design team to help you execute your plans.
This is a part-time role, with a potential to transition into a Full-time.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a monthly schedule for our Events - Info-Sessions and Free Workshops, that optimizes our registrations ensuring that our events are filled up.
- Frame our events around compelling tech topics and tech careers that have a demand in the Queensland market.
- Manage and organize the entire end-to-end event operations on the day of the event by coordinating with the campus experience manager.
- Cultivating new partnerships with Queensland’s tech startups and inviting guest speakers for our on-campus and online events.
- Build an highly engaging tech community in Queensland through Meetup or Facebook groups.
- Work and build connections with existing tech community members - coming up with promotional offers for those specific communities.
Qualifications:
- Previous Experience with Event-Management or Community Management (Good to have not mandatory)
- You have an entrepreneurial mindset to own things and drive growth with excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal & written).
- A passion for the Education Industry and impacting lives through education.
- Highly Organized - Ability to deliver things on time, meeting deadlines, coordinating between multiple events, and work with the team to get the job done.
Work Location:
North Quay Office, Brisbane.
Working Hours:
Part-time (25 Hours a Week)
Preferred Work Timings: 10 AM - 3 PM (Monday - Friday)
