Programmed Industrial Maintenance is currently seeking an experienced Laser Aligning Mechanical Supervisor to join our Major Outage Team for Execution North East of Perth.

Commencing immediately until end of May 2021, with some staggered starts available, the successful applicant would be working within a well-established team during the execution of a Major Outage.

Responsibilities

  • Laser aligning, gearbox replacements and some mechanical seal installs.
  • Supervisor the execution of allocated work fronts
  • Supervision of Mechanical resources during execution
  • Daily updates and reports on late pre shut and execution progress
  • Understand control of work process
  • Assist Senior Supervision to coordinate crane activities and various work fronts to minimize unplanned events
  • Strong Safety approach in everything we do!

Skills, Experience and Attributes

  • Strong experience in laser aligning of gearboxes replacements
  • Strong Experience in gearbox, coupling and motor replacements including mechanical seal installs
  • Experience in girth and pinion gear inspections and rectification works highly regarded
  • Recent demonstrated Mechanical Supervision experience within the Mining/Minerals/Processing sectors
  • Ability to deliver a high level of customer service and ensure customer satisfaction is delivered to the client
  • Well organised, self-starter, with a team orientation and able to work to tight deadlines
  • Well-developed communication, leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate efficiently across multidisciplinary teams 
  • High attention to detail and levels of accuracy
  • Efficient computer skills
  • Exposure in estimating time and resources aligned with shutdown activities
  • Assist in planning and detailing materials and specialised tooling/equipment aligned with the shutdown activities
  • Demonstrate experience in the fast-passed shutdown environment

Knowledge and Training

  • Relevant trades background
  • Section 44 training required
  • Confined space and working @ heights
  • Flange management and fitting techniques experience highly regarded
  • Hazardous area experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in a Mechanical Supervisor role in the mining/resources industry
