About the role
Mater Private Hospital Brisbane is seeking Enrolled Nurses to take up permanent full-time and part-time positions in its busy Welcome Lounge & Day Procedure Unit. This role offers the opportunity to utilise best practice in the delivery of quality nursing care to our patients while working with a dynamic and supportive nursing team in a purpose-built setting.

Mater's Welcome Lounge & Day Procedure Unit are open Monday to Friday and form a critical part of Mater Hospital Brisbane's Surgical and Acute Nursing Services. These positions provide the perfect opportunity to enjoy a great work/life balance while working in a challenging and rewarding clinical environment.

Salary range: $31.42 - $33.46 (Enrolled Nurse) per hour plus superannuation

What you'll be doing

As an enthusiastic and motivated EN, you will use your experience and skills to provide quality care to our patients in the immediate pre-procedural and post-operative periods. You will also liaise with patients' families to ensure optimal post-discharge outcomes as well as actively participating in quality improvement activities within the department.

About you

The successful applicant will possess:

• Recent surgical and/or perioperative experience including the management of patient process from admission through to discharge (minimum post grad 2+ years)
• Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse (no restrictions)
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with other health professionals and community services in the delivery of health care
• Excellent communication, problem solving and negotiation skills
• A demonstrated awareness of and involvement in quality and risk management
