The Opportunity

Full time / Part time positions avaiable.

 Albury Wodonga Health – Albury Campus requires a Registered Nurse to join our Medical Ward 2 / High Acuity beds. The HAB ward is a 4 bed unit attached to a 21 bed general medical ward. The HAB cares for unwell / unstable patients requiring a 1:2 or 1:3 nurse monitoring and care. Examples of patients include, diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), cardiac intervention (PCI, pacemakers), arrhythmia management, and respiratory disease with high flow nasal prongs moving towards non-invasive ventilation.

The Medical stream provides care for a large range of medical patients. Sound clinical knowledge, skills and experience are essential for this position.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team striving for excellence in the delivery of mixed adult medical higher acuity care. In this role you will have an active part in ensuring the coordination and delivery of care to patients and their families. The HAB culture is one of respect, compassion, commitment, accountability and innovation.

AWH HAB is supported by senior nursing staff, experienced nurse educator and clinical support staff. Candidates with previous experience in a higher acuity environment or similar with at least 2 years post registration experience are encouraged to apply.
