The North West Regional Hospital (NWRH) is currently looking for support staff to fill the following roles

Hospital Aide will maintain:
Clean hygienic surroundings to facilitate the control of infection.
Basic ward equipment and adequate stores.
Maintain patient confidentiality.

The Clerk will:
Provide and maintain a high standard of customer focused clerical, administrative and reception services.
Maintain confidentiality and work according to all Agency policies, procedures and guidelines.
Ensure all information management systems are maintained and processes conducted in accordance with the relevant guidelines and protocols of the Agency.

The hospital:
The North West Regional Hospital, Burnie is a 160 bed facility and is the principal referral centre for the North West Tasmanian community and provides general medicine, surgical (including orthopaedic), intensive care, cancer services, paediatric services, outpatient clinics and specialist services. The hospital has close ties with the University of Tasmania through the Rural Clinical School and with TAFE Tasmania thus providing opportunities for comprehensive clinical training programs.

Details of Appointment:
Casual, Shift-Worker positions available, working as and when required up to 76 hours per fortnight.

Hospital Aide Salary:
Health Services Officer Level 3: $51,860 - 53,140 pro rata per annum + 9.5% superannuation + access to salary packaging

Clerk Salary:
Band 2 Range 1: $57,305 - $61,704 pro rata per annum + 9.5% superannuation + access to salary packaging

Applicants should note that, for a period of six months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.
