Be involved in your new role

We have an opportunity for an experienced full-time Credit Control Officer to join our firm. This role is part of our Finance Department based in the Perth office, with a local direct report to the Australian CFO as well as working closely with the Inventory/Asset Control team based in the UK. 

In this role, the main focus will be the timely collection of cash from the Firm’s clients. This will involve liaison with Australian Partners, UKLLP Inventory/Asset Control team, Fee Earners, Executive Assistants, Clients and Administrators or Liquidators.

Other responsibilities will include;

· managing key relationships with key clients;

· allocating of funds to matters;

· reporting;

· invoicing;

· adjustments;

· write-offs; and

· assisting with finance related duties as requested.

Be involved in using your skills and experience

To succeed in this role you will have at least 5 years’ experience in a similar credit control or accounts receivable position, preferably in legal or a professional services environment, and an intermediate/advanced ability using Microsoft Excel and accounting related software. Your ability to be a strong team player, with effective written and communication skills will see you shine in this role.

We are looking for someone who will be highly organised, has a high level of attention to detail and strong problem solving and prioritising skills. Excellent interpersonal skills to foster good working relationships (particularly with Partners, clients and your international colleagues) is a must. Flexibility to work extra hours at month-end would also be preferred.
