The Opportunity

We are currently interested in speaking to passionate and skilled Customer Experience Officer who would love to join our Front Line team in Cambridge, TAS. This opportunity has become available due to Growth in the business. We currently have multiple roles available and have flexible working hours.

We are looking for people who are positive, have a passion for customer service and have a solutions focused mindset.

The purpose of this role is to provide excellent customer service in the Veolia waste collection business through frontline activities which include customer service, service bookings, providing customer resolution and providing assistance with our online customer portal. You will be required to collate customer data and provide waste collection solutions to customers using relevant systems and recommend suitable waste collection services & pricing options.

You’ll need:
Previous experience in a phone based customer service role
Sound understanding of business processes, capability and systems
Managing customer relationships and meeting specific KPI’s
Excellent communication skills
Professional telephone manner- listening, questioning, empathy, clear client outcome and professionalism;
Excellent attention to detail and grammar
Time Management and Prioritisation
Experience within the waste industry (desirable)

Reporting to the Customer Experience Supervisor, you’ll work closely with a small team, as well as various suppliers and contractors. And you’ll learn from them, as much as they learn from you.

While ‘Operations’ is about process and rhythm, you’ll find plenty of variety in your role. In addition to operating the plant, you’ll play a key role in measuring and reporting the facility’s output, maintaining a robust safety culture and identifying more efficient ways of working that don’t compromise safety or quality.

In this role, you’ll be trained across a number of concrete skills for the job in hand. Many of our team leads have continued to progress their career with us, moving into management positions.
