  • About The Role

    As a Driver Trainer you will be responsible for conducting driver Inductions, train and assess all new truck drivers and re-assess all current drivers to ensure the safe delivery of all concrete products to our sites.

    Based out at Albion Park you will strive for best practice in driver competence, agitator operations and compliance including the development and maintenance of administrative systems while supporting the process and management of driver recruitment and performance.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with assessments prior to recruitment of new drivers in-line with business requirements
  • Support the induction and training of new employees
  • Train and re-assess current drivers to comply with business requirements & standards
  • Ensure competency based training & assessing / vehicle presentation
  • Monitor compliance and improve performance
  • Actively participate in Safety Improvement Team meetings
  • Comply with national process & standards
  • Administration of training & assessment records
  • Provide support for maintaining safety and environmental management systems
  • Identify hazards and control risks / Investigate incidents
  • Assist in the preparation, implementation and completion of audit requirements
  • Assist in incident investigations & the implementation of corrective actions
  • Active participation in skills enhancement programs
  • Implementation and delivery of training plans in an operationally pertinent, efficient and compliant manner whilst ensuring daily operational impacts are minimised
  • Ensure results are achieved by using both formal and informal processes to monitor training effectiveness
  • Partner in the development and deployment of innovative approaches or technologies to drive business growth and continuous improvement

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a similar driver training position
  • H/C Licence as a Minimum requirement
  • Previous check-able experience in H/R , H/C operation (minimum of 10 years)
  • Enthusiastic and organised approach to work, with a can-do attitude.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well being able to work autonomously
  • Experience in SAP, Excel, Word
  • Knowledge of H/V mass management, fatigue management, road transport rules and regulations
