An exciting opportunity exists to join the Pharmacy Department at Shellharbour Hospital.
Where You'll Be Working
Shellharbour Hospital is a busy acute care facility which provides emergency services, elective surgical services, general medical, antenatal and primary family health care, satellite renal dialysis and adolescent and adult mental health services on site. Shellharbour Hospital is a 197 bed facility providing a comprehensive range of inpatient, outpatient and community-based services.
What You'll Be Doing
Responsible for providing a comprehensive range of pharmacy services to outpatients and inpatients to ensure the quality use of medicines within the hospital setting. This includes but is not limited to drug distribution, manufacturing, clinical pharmacy services, outpatient services, drug information, education and research .

This is a temporary full time maternity relief position until 1 May 2022 with the possibility of an extension at same / reduced hours. An eligibility list will be created for future Temporary Full-Time and Part-Time positions.

Selection Criteria
- A Registered Pharmacist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with no restriction on practice.
- Demonstrated effective clinical drug knowledge and competence in its application to achieve safe and efficient quality care.
- Demonstrated understanding of the patient medication review process.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently with limited supervision to meet team objectives.
- Proven organisation skills and a capacity to manage a complex workload.
- Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills necessary to interact effectively with patients and other stakeholder to improve patient care and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
- Demonstrated skills and experience in problem solving displaying judgement, initiative and independence.
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to participate in quality improvement activities.
